Video to recipe

Turn a cooking video into a recipe you can actually cook from.

No more pausing and rewinding.

Cooking videos are great to watch and terrible to cook from. Paste the link and Getrecipe reads the captions and description, then writes the dish out properly: ingredients with measurements, ordered steps, times and temperatures.

Questions

How do I convert a cooking video into a recipe?
Paste the video link into Getrecipe. It reads the captions and description, then writes out the ingredients and steps the cook actually used.
What if the video has no captions?
Getrecipe falls back to the video description. If neither contains enough detail, it tells you instead of inventing a recipe — you can paste the recipe text instead.
Does it work with videos in other languages?
Yes. Non-English captions are translated faithfully, keeping the original dish rather than swapping it for a Western version.
Will the recipe match the video?
Getrecipe is instructed to use only the ingredients, quantities and techniques stated in the source, so nothing is invented.
